High intensity workouts

If you are short of time and want to fit quick-fire but effective workouts into your lifestyle, then high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts are perfect. They torch fat, raise metabolism and have you buzzing for the rest of the day. Here are three different workouts which you can crack on with on your evenings and weekends to prep you for the upcoming summer.


Workout 1

Perform each exercise for 30s.

  1. Mountain climbers
  2. Spiderman press ups
  3. Dumbbell punches
  4. Plank to press

Work for 2 mins. Rest 1 min. Repeat 5 times. 15 mins in total.


Workout 2

Perform each exercise for 40s and then have 20s rest.

  1. Squat jumps
  2. Abs cycling
  3. High knee sprints
  4. Reverse crunches

4 rounds of each exercise before moving on. 1 min rest between exercises. 20 mins in total.


Workout 3

Perform each exercise for 60s.

  1. Star jumps
  2. Squat thrusts
  3. Lateral hops
  4. Burpees

30s rest after each exercise. 3 rounds. Total of 18 mins.
